Google Streetview spots Porsche engineers in Colorado

Its a well known fact that car manufacturers test new models on public roads. In Europe most of the tests are done at the famous Nürburgring and during winter in Sweden. In the States, Death Valley is known for hot weather tests and Colorado for high altitude testing.

Taking spy photos has come a full time job for many people, and thanks to them we get to see future models sometimes years before the manufacturers officially introduce them.

Ford’s Active Park Assist for Lincoln MKT and MKS makes parallel parking a breeze

Before we get our driving license, we have to be able to pass the parallel parking test with no mistakes, plus answer whole bunch of questions. It would make sense that everyone who has the driving license, can parallel park their cars, but unfortunately lot of people find it stressful and rather park somewhere else.

Now Ford has a solution for future owners of the Lincoln MKS and MKT(that makes its debut at the Detroit Motor Show next month).

Honda F1 Team sold to world’s second richest man

Carlos Slim not buying the Honda F1 Team!?

Yesterday and today most of the news sites around the world(including us) reported that Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim has bought the Honda F1 Team.

Just few hours ago AFP news agency reported that there is no such deal and negotiations on this matter between the Honda F1 Team and Carlos Slim. No additional details were given. Was Italian La Stampa playing with the press(including mighty CNN and small sites like us) or perhaps the deal could not be finished for some strange reason? Stay tuned, as we are sure that Monday morning will bring more information.

Ford churns out most fuel-efficient mid-size car in America!

he words fuel-efficient and America don’t really go well with each other. With small/big block petrol motors that produce tire shredding torque and power have no regard for fuel efficiency.

But Ford has changed all that with the new Fusion Hybrid. This futuristic looking sedan has managed to achieve the best mileage figures in America i.e. 41 miles per gallon!

Ford had spent three years in developing the Fusion’s next-generation hybrid propulsion system.

Ferrari 612 Scaglietti by Imola Racing

To miss with perfection should be a sin. So the moment Imola Racing even began to mess with the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, the heavens should open and swallow the German tuner whole.

At least it seems Imola was smart enough to not touch the engine. Instead this is likely just body enhancements. We don’t have much info on the kit. We do know its being considered a widebody because of the enlarged fenders and larger tires. There are also new front and rear spoilers as well as a two-tone paint job the is reminiscent of the first generation Corvette.

Hurst Challenger - pricing and specifications: now with less power

Back in August we got a preview of what Hurst could do when it gets its hands on a Dodge Challenger. Now we have the full breakdown including pricing schedule for the Hurst Hemi Challenger series.

The output starts with the Challenger Series 2 R/T 5.7 that has 352 hp and 408 lb-ft of torque. These figures makes us scratch our heads a little because a 2009 Challenger R/T comes with 376 hp and 410 lb-ft from the factory. At least one package we can appreciate it the top-of-the-line package for the Challenger SRT8 that boosts the factory 425 hp to 572 hp.

Slim down and fill ‘er up

Overindulge this holiday season? You may have just powered your next road trip.

A Beverly Hills plastic surgeon decided to turn waste fat into biodiesel. Dr. Craig Alan Bittner used the fat from his patients for his Ford SUV and his girlfriend’s Lincoln Navigator. Bitter wrote on his now defunct lipodiesel.com, "Not only do they (patients) get to lose their love handles or chubby belly but they get to take part in saving the Earth." Classy.

Bitter faced some big problems for his creative fueling. For starters it’s illegal to use medical waste to power vehicles in California. But that’s not much of a problem anymore, because he closed his practice in November and moved to South America.

Bitter’s big change likely doesn’t have to do with just the health code. It seems that during the gas crisis a few months ago others were also taking advantage of the Krispy Kreme-sourced fuel. Three patients are suing the practice for not only allowing Bittner’s girlfriend and assistant to perform surgeries without a medical license, but also taking too much fat and leaving them disfigured.

WTF? Bentley Continental GT in PINK!

Who is the biggest fan of Barbie? Looks like it is the famous Paris Hilton herself. For Christmas, Paris bought herself a new $200,000 custom built Bentley Continental GT. By custom we mean ugly custom. From interior to exterior this Bentley is finished in pink.

Speaking to E! Paris, who was dressed in pink said, “I’ve just always wanted a pink car. I think when you’re a little girl and you have the Barbie Corvette you’re always like, ‘Oh I wish I had a car like this one day,’ so I think it just comes from being a fan of Barbie for so long.”

This pink Bentley was done by West Coast Customs. We don’t have anything against pink cars, but this is just too much.
